April 11, 2019Downtown Albany Restaurant Week Returns April 13 through April 19
The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) presents the 15th Annual Downtown Albany Restaurant Week. One of the Capital Region’s most highly anticipated culinary events of the year, Restaurant Week is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 through Friday, April 19, 2019. The 16 participating restaurants will offer three-course meals, valued at a minimum of $35, for the fixed price of $25. This event gives locals and visitors alike the opportunity to sample a wide variety Downtown restaurants. Approximately 10,000 diners are expected to enjoy the promotion throughout the week. Early reservations are highly encouraged.
The restaurants participating in this year’s Restaurant Week include The Albany Pump Station, ama cocina, Café Capriccio, City Beer Hall, Dawn’s Victory Sports Café, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Hudson Harbor Steak & Seafood, Jack’s Oyster House, La Serre, The Olde English Pub & Pantry, Parish Public House, Pearl Street Pub, The Taverna, V & R Italian Restaurant, and Wellington’s. From hearty steak and seafood dishes to vegan delights, Cajun classics to Thai delicacies, there’s something on the Restaurant Week menus for every taste. Diners can enjoy restaurants that have been Downtown destinations for decades or find a new favorite among the eclectic slate of participating businesses.
“Since 2005, tens of thousands have enjoyed dining Downtown for the Capital Region’s original Restaurant Week,” said Georgette Steffens, Downtown Albany BID executive director. “We’re proud to showcase the diverse restaurant options and innovative, award-winning chefs that make downtown Albany a culinary destination, all at a great value.”
As part of Restaurant Week, a Student Night promotion will be held on Monday, April 15. College students may present a valid student ID and dine at select venues for the reduced price of $20. The restaurants participating in Student Night include Emmanuel Thai Restaurant, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, The Olde English Pub & Pantry, The Taverna, and V & R Italian Restaurant.
Diners will also have the chance to win gift certificates from participating restaurants by posting to their social media channels using the hashtag #dinedowntown, or by completing Restaurant Week surveys.
Free parking is available on-street and in ParkAlbany garages after 5:00 PM on weekdays and all day on the weekend. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 5:00 PM – 12:30 AM, the free Capital City Trolley offers a direct connection to restaurants throughout the Downtown district from these parking garages.
