March 13, 2019The Bonadio Group’s Rick Bigham Receives ’40 under 40′ Award
Richard Bigham, Partner at The Bonadio Group, is an honoree of Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 class of 2019.
The honorees are a group of executives, entrepreneurs and community leaders. An advisory committee, made up of past 40 Under 40 winners and staff at the Business Review, selected this year’s group from over 350 nominations.
Richard (Rick) Bigham is a partner of The Bonadio Group. He started his career in 2004 as a staff accountant after completing a deployment in the Middle East as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves. Rick became a partner at Bonadio in January 2017 at the age of 36. Rick is a member of The Bonadio Group’s Commercial Practice in the Firm’s Albany Office. In this role, Rick works with and leads a staff of 15. He is a dedicated mentor for many, and is an effective role model in illustrating the successful balance between family, personal and business interests and a progressive career. Rick is also a senior member of the Firm’s State-wide Construction Team. In this role, he oversees and supervises staff in providing a number of financial services, including audits and reviews. As a member of the Firm’s Construction Team, Rick works closely with the Firm’s Quality Control Division in updating and implementing auditing processes specific to the firm’s construction client base. In addition to being a CPA, Rick is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). These certifications have opened the door for Rick to work on a number of litigation projects including providing fraud prevention, litigation support and construction claims reviews.
Rick has received extensive leadership training the United States Army Reserves. He has been active in the Reserves since 1998 and continues to serve our country in this capacity. He is a graduate of the Army Reserves preliminary leadership course (PLDC), Advance Leadership Course (ALC) and the Senior Leadership Course. He is also a Graduate of the Batiste Leadership Development Program He is a dedicated father to two young children and loving husband to his wife of 16 years.

This is the 20th year the Albany Business Review has honored the region’s up-and-coming leaders. The winners will be celebrated at a luncheon on May 17 at the Albany Capital Center.
