Jeffrey Siegel Named Managing Partner at O’Connell and Aronowitz

O’Connell and Aronowitz today announced that Jeffrey A. Siegel has been named Managing Partner effective Jan. 1, 2019.  He assumes the role from predecessor Pamela Nichols with whom he shared co-managing partner responsibilities since last year.

Siegel joined O’Connell and Aronowitz in 2015 in a major expansion to the Firm’s business law and commercial litigation groups. Heading up one of the largest business law departments among upstate New York law firms, Siegel’s practice focuses on business transactions, commercial real estate transactions and commercial litigation.

“Jeff Siegel has shown outstanding leadership qualities and innovative thinking in the year he has been co-Managing Partner and the 4 years that he has been a principal of the Firm,” said Jeffrey J. Sherrin, O’Connell and Aronowitz President.

“With the expansion of business law and substantial growth of our matrimonial, real estate, criminal, personal injury and health care practices, there are many challenges we will face in 2019 and beyond,” Sherrin continued. “Our foremost goal always, and that of Jeff as Managing Partner, will be to assure that our clients continue to receive the best personal legal services available.  I will enjoy working with Jeff to continue to fulfill this mission.”

Outside of managerial responsibilities, Siegel represents plaintiffs and defendants in business and real estate disputes, buyers and sellers of businesses and commercial real estate, lenders and borrowers in commercial financing transactions and municipalities and individuals in land use matters.

Regarding succession to the role of Managing Partner, Siegel comments, “Pam Nichols devoted over 10 years to her duties as Managing Partner and the Firm has benefited from her tireless efforts.”  Beyond concentrating on her personal injury practice, Nichols will now focus on client development and the Firm’s standing in the legal community.

Sherrin adds, “Pam Nichols is a tough, if not impossible, act to follow but Jeff is the right person for the task.  Many thanks to Pam for guiding the Firm through so many years of growth and success.”
