January 17, 2019Watkins Glen International Welcomes Two New Hires
Watkins Glen International announces the addition of two members to the staff, Becky Mitchell and Makinsey Carolus, effective immediately. Mitchell will serve as the Group Sales Manager and Carolus as a Corporate Sales Executive.
Mitchell joins The Glen from sister track Talladega Superspeedway where she was a Ticket Sales Account Executive. Her daily responsibilities include creating new markets for group ticket and hospitality sales, coordinating with tour bus operators, youth and college groups and city agencies. The Rock Hill, New York native earned a bachelor’s in Sport Management from Misericordia University.
Carolus graduated from Elmira College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing & International Business. From Broad Brook, Connecticut, her previous experience includes internships at Howell Liberatore and Associates and The Hilliard Corporation. She will be tasked with bringing new corporate and hospitality business for the race track.
The two join the staff as The Glen is preparing for the 2019 season. The eight-event slate is headlined by traditional returns from Go Bowling at The Glen and Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, in addition to the Finger Lakes Wine Festival and Ticket Galaxy Beer Festival and more.
