Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar recently appointed Laura Marx as its new executive director.
F. Michael Zovistoski, Chair of the Board, said “On behalf of the entire board of directors, I am pleased to welcome Laura to Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar as we work to deepen the support we offer our Scholars throughout both high school and college. I know that her experience and background will help us address our strategic goals of enhancing college preparation, intensifying career awareness programs and increasing support and guidance for college Scholars.”
Ms. Marx has more than 23 years of experience in non-profit management and fundraising. She was most recently the Area Director of Capital Region and South Central NY Chapters of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
