Tully Rinckey PLLC is pleased to announce that Danel A. Dufresne, Esq. has joined the firm’s San Diego, CA office as Senior Counsel. Dufresne represents Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Security Clearance Practice Group and assists federal employees, government contractors and military personnel in all stages of obtaining a confidential, secret, or top secret clearance.

Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Dufresne was General Counsel at Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. He assisted dozens of employees navigate the security clearance process by preparing responses to Standard Form 86 questionnaires, appearing as Counsel of Record at the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA), and filing appellate briefs with DOHA’s Appeal Board.
Dufresne also served as Senior Counsel for the National Arbitration Forum where he educated corporate counsel about the legal and economic impact of implementing an arbitration program. Dufresne was a nationwide arbitration expert and also served as Congressman Brian P. Bilbray’s Deputy District Director and Legal Counsel.
Dufresne began his legal career as a Business and Commercial Litigation Associate at Leonard, Street and Deinard where he managed cases involving breach of contract, negligence, fraud, unjust enrichment, and other matters. Dufresne earned his law degree from American University Washington College of Law (Senior Staff – American University Law Review) and his bachelor of arts degree from the University of San Diego (Departmental Honors, cum laude).
