The Chamber’s Ambassador Committee Visits The Clifton Park & Halfmoon Emergency Corp.

The Chamber’s Ambassadors had a great August meeting as they visited the Clifton Park & Halfmoon Emergency Corp. They were educated on all the great things the organization does in and around the community. The Corp. responds to just over 7,000 calls a year and employs almost 100 EMTs and paramedics. The host’s community outreach staff, made up of Gina Wierzbowski and Leah Ferrone, showed the group the programs and training classes they offer the community. One in particular is a CPR certification course that is offered solely to veterans- for FREE!  They also provide car seat inspections and in some cases, to qualifying individuals, can outfit a vehicle with a car seat for free.

Their work doesn’t stop when the festivities happen in and around Clifton Park. One of the largest events they patrol is the 4th of July celebration in Clifton Commons, making sure residents are safe in and outside their homes. They truly are a community dedicated organization that takes their work very seriously. We hope you will think about them not only when you are in need of their services!
