July 9, 2018Northern Rivers Names Behavioral Health Care Center Director
Northern Rivers Family of Services announced that Emily Frederick has joined the organization as director of the Behavioral Health Center in Schenectady.
The center, located at 530 Franklin St., is a NYS Office of Mental Health–licensed facility that provides mental health counseling to the public.
Frederick joins the organization from Family Counseling Center in Gloversville, where she served as a mental health and crisis therapist. She previously worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam as an emergency room crisis intervention worker as well as an intensive case manager and Health Home case manager.
Frederick earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Albany and her master’s in counseling and community psychology from Sage Graduate School in Albany.
