June 8, 2018James Dodd, CPA Named VP and Controller of Finance at Ballston Spa National Bank
James Dodd has been named vice president and controller of finance at Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB), as recently announced by Chris Dowd, president and CEO. In this position, Dodd will manage all aspects of the Finance department including, financial reporting for the bank, purchasing, accounts payable, investment accounting, tax reporting, shareholder relations, and general accounting functions. Dodd will also participate in overseeing the Bank’s asset liability management, capital planning, and strategic planning.
Dodd comes to BSNB with 10 years of experience in banking and auditing, most recently as an Audit Manager at KPMG. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from SUNY Oneonta and his master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
