April 25, 2018Capital Roots to Host 31st Annual Spring Brunch
WHEN: Sunday, May 6, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
WHERE: Empire State Plaza Convention Hall, South Mall Arterial, Albany
DESCRIPTION: Capital Roots’ 31st Annual Spring Brunch will include a buffet brunch featuring culinary fare prepared by 125 restaurants, a silent auction with more than 100 items, a pancake station provided by Rivers Casino & Resort, and children’s activities. The event is expected to raise more than $80,000 to benefit Capital Roots’ programs, including 52 Community Gardens, the Veggie Mobile®, the Produce Project, Healthy Stores, Squash Hunger and more.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES: Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy, Troy City Mayor Patrick Madden, Congressman Paul Tonko, Senator Neil Breslin, Assemblyman John McDonald, City of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, and 700 community members will dine and bid on auction items in Empire State Plaza’s Convention Hall.
