Northern Rivers Family of Services is pleased to announce the 2018 “Champions for Children of the Capital Region”, to be honored at the annual Champions for Children event on May 10.
This year’s awardees were chosen as a result of their outstanding contributions to children’s health, safety and well-being. They are:

Leadership Tech Valley of the Capital Region Chamber

“Our Champions for Children of the Capital Region make a real difference for kids in our community. The Community Foundation, Leadership Tech Valley and Lodge’s have each harnessed their unique abilities to increase opportunities, support initiatives and bring smiles to children and families,” said William T. Gettman, Jr., chief executive officer of Northern Rivers.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of Champions for Children. Since inception in 2007, the event has raised nearly $1 million and has provided support to Northern Rivers’ more than 60 programs and services for children, adults and families throughout New York state.
The event will be held on Tuesday, May 15, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel in Albany.
