The Restaurant at the Pointe Announces Remodel and New Menu

Today The Restaurant at the Pointe announced its unveiling of a remodel that includes more seating around its signature hearth. The neighborhood restaurant underwent this renovation to add 10 seats to the 1,166 square foot restaurant. The restaurant also released a new menu developed by its executive chef, Chef Peter Jones, and its St. Patrick’s Day specials.

The Restaurant at the Pointe, located off of Carondelet Drive, is housed in a beautiful round stone building designed to emulate the architecture of traditional Shakers. The Restaurant features a large hearth that greets guests as they enter the dining room. The remodel expanded seating at this hearth with new countertops, bar stools, a draft line for beer and televisions.

“Our original intent of opening The Restaurant at the Pointe was to provide a comfortable spot where neighbors, friends and family could gather and relax,” said Sisters Kay Ryan and Lauren Vandermark, Executive Team at Shaker Pointe at Carondelet. “The latest renovations at The Restaurant will give everyone more space to enjoy each other’s company while tasting the latest culinary marvels from Chef Jones.”

Chef Jones, whose background includes serving as chef de cuisine at Yono’s in Albany, developed a new menu that was introduced to diners last week. The new menu features a variety of specialty pizzas prepared in the wood-oven hearth, braised lamb, seared salmon and much more. The full menu can be viewed online at the link here.

The changes at The Restaurant are completed just in time for its St. Patrick’s Day celebration. On Saturday, March 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. guests will enjoy a $10 lunch special; a hand carved corned beef sandwich on marble rye with brown mustard, served with hand-cut chips, coleslaw, and a pickle. At dinner, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., The Restaurant will offer a prix fixe menu for $27 that includes; potato leek soup, an apple, walnut, goat cheese salad with lemon vinaigrette, a choice of corned beef dish, salmon dish, or a lamb stew dish, and a choice of Bailey’s cheesecake or minted dark chocolate pot de creme for dessert. $3 beer specials will be available throughout the day.

The Restaurant at the Pointe is located at One Bell Tower Drive, Watervliet, and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for lunch, and 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for dinner. For more information, please visit EatAtThePointe.com or call 518-250-4525.
