Siena College Names Entrepreneurship Center Interim Director

Daniel Robeson’s appointment is effective immediately

Daniel Robeson, Ph.D., has been named interim director of the entrepreneurship center at Siena College.

Robeson is heading up the Stack Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, effective immediately. The Stack Center engages students through high impact learning practices designed to develop critical thinking, innovation and entrepreneurial skills, which can be applied to develop and implement successful business ventures.

“We are pleased to welcome Dan Robeson to Siena College,” said Br. F. Edward Coughlin, O.F.M., Ph.D, president of the College. “His experience as a business faculty member and college administrator, combined with his industry experience, make him an excellent choice to lead our center for entrepreneurship.”

Through the Stack Center, Siena students learn to create and obtain financing, establish their legal entity, hire and lead employees, and create marketing and business plans. The Center engages more than 300 students annually from the schools of liberal arts, science and business.

Robeson joined the Siena faculty last year as an associate professor of management. He was previously chair of the Division of Business and Management at Keuka College, and founding director of Keuka’s Center for Business Analytics.

Before his time at Keuka, he was a member of the faculty at The Sage Colleges in Albany/Troy for 12 years, where he was the founding dean of their School of Management.

Dr. Robeson holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Missouri, an M.B.A. in innovation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. in management from RPI.
