October 26, 2017Riverside Maple Farm, LLC Now Open in The Town of Glenville
The Chamber, its Ambassadors, State, County and Town Elected officials, along with many family, friends and patrons cut the ribbon on Thursday, October 26 to open the new facility in Glenville at 7152 Amsterdam Road. With over 100 in attendance it was clear that Erica and Chris Welch have the support of the local community.
Riverside Maple Farms is located on a 30-acre site in the town’s growing agritourism district. A new 5,300-square-foot facility has been constructed to show the entire maple product production process, demonstrating how tree sap is harvested and boiled down to produce syrup – in fact, it takes roughly 40 gallons of sap to produce one gallon of syrup.
Supplied by 260 acres of maple trees the family owns nearby, this maple sugarhouse offers family-friendly tours of a working facility that produces maple syrup, candies, maple spread, maple sugar and other products, as well as a retail store that is open to serve the public year round. Riverside Maple Farms is open Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
