October 16, 2017New Wine and Spirits Store Opens in the Socha Plaza
The Chamber with its Ambassadors along with local officials, family, friends and patrons all officially opened Zinful Thoughts on Friday, October 13.
Carrie Peek is an entrepreneur with an associate’s degree in business from Schenectady County Community College. She obtained her business degree taking evening classes while working full time. She was a devoted employee, holding various positions throughout her 35+ years with Price Chopper before retiring as a Store Manager in April, 2017.
She has raised two great children, and became a proud grandmother last year. Her husband was very supportive in her decision to retire and open up her own business even though they both realize it will require a lot of dedication and hard work.
She picked the location for her business based on her knowledge of the people in the community, and felt the beautiful, well kept Socha Plaza would represent what she wanted to be know for in her business.
Carrie feels that her store will be different from others by providing that knowledgeable, pleasant, unique shopping atmosphere that the community will grow to love.
Zinful Thoughts has weekly wine tastings, gift wrapping, gift baskets, and special orders for upcoming events.
