The Meadows at Glenwyck to Host 10/16 Blood Drive

The Meadows at Glenwyck, an independent senior living community located at 150 Dutch Meadows Lane in Glenville (just behind WalMart), will partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive Monday, Oct. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The blood drive is open to donors who are at least 18 years old, in good health and provide valid identification such as a current driver’s license.

“Reservations to give blood help expedite the process for us and for the donor, so reservations are recommended,” said Laura Poirier, community manager, The Meadows at Glenwyck.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and use MGlenwyck as the sponsor code.

Those who donate a unit of blood play an important role tackling a region-wide blood shortage. They also give the gift of life to another member of our community following a traumatic accident and can help save several lives if their blood is separated into its components — red cells, platelets, and plasma.

All blood donors will be entered to win a $250 Visa gift card following their donation.
