June 20, 2017Schenectady-based SI Group appoints Brooke Manrique to Vice President Global HR
SI Group, a leading global developer and manufacturer of chemical intermediates, specialty resins, and solutions, announced today the appointment of Brooke A. Manrique to the position of Vice President, Human Resources & Communications, effective July 1, 2017.

In 2015, Manrique led SI Group’s global brand transformation, an 18-month project that impacted customers in over 90 countries and facilities on five continents. Among her many other contributions to SI Group,
Manrique led global communications related to the acquisition of assets from Albemarle Corporation (NYSE:ALB) in September 2014. The transaction, the largest in SI Group’s history, included manufacturing
sites in Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States and Jinshan, China. The expansion positioned SI Group as one of the top three global suppliers of ibuprofen. She joined the company in January 2013 as the global public relations and marketing communications manager, and since that time has held several leadership roles within the organization. Manrique earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and Russian area studies from American University in Washington D.C., and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
