Gatherer’s Granola of Schenectady donated almost 5,000 10-ounce bags of its peanut butter-almond and chocolate-coconut granola to the SICM Emergency Food Pantry.
Gatherer’s Granola overproduced for a contract and decided to donate its extra inventory.
“This is the first time Gatherer’s has made a donation to SICM’s Emergency Food Pantry, and we decided to go with SICM because of our connections to the organization (on personal levels) as well as the fact that we’re just down the road, said Sandro Gerbini, President and Founder of Gatherer’s Granola. “Should Gatherer’s have extra inventory in the future, SICM’s Food Pantry will be on the top of our list to call for donations.”
“We are thrilled to be a recipient of this generous donation from Gatherer’s Granola. We appreciate them thinking of us, and wanting to provide healthy food for the guests of the Food Pantry”, said Shelly Ford, Deputy Director of the SICM Emergency Food Pantry.
