Mohawk Ambulance Service Welcomes New Human Resources Director

chonskiMohawk Ambulance Service is pleased to announce the hiring of Christie Chonski as Human Resource Director. In this position, she is responsible for all human resource functions within Mohawk Ambulance Services and will work closely with company leaders to manage human resources programs, provide consultation on strategic staffing plans, manage hiring, benefits and employee relations, and promote process improvement by building relationships and retaining employees.

Joining Mohawk Ambulance from DeCresente Distributing Company, Chonski served as human resources administrator/generalist for nearly four years. Prior to that, she worked for the New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation holding positions in human resources and business development. Chonski brings experience in employee recruitment and retention, staff development, conflict resolution, benefits and compensation, HR records management and policy development, strategic planning, and more to her new role.

Chonski studied business administration at Hudson Valley Community College and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resource management SUNY Albany. She is member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Capital Region Human Resources Association (CRHRA). A devoted mother of two young children, she and her family reside in Halfmoon.
