Donations South “For the Love of Bags & Bling” Fundraiser to Benefit St. Paul’s Center

Donations of new- and gently-used handbags, jewelry and accessories are being accepted for a unique event to benefit a local homeless shelter for women and children.

“For the Love of Bags & Bling features a collection of bags and accessories donated by local residents and stores. It’s a unique and fun evening to support St. Paul’s Center emergency shelter.

“As ladies are cleaning out closets, getting ready for spring, I ask that you think of the Center and this event,” requests the Center’s executive director, Tracy Pitcher. “It’s a great way to put items you no longer use to great use – it’s a way to support local homeless mothers and children at a time of great need.”

“For the Love of Bags & Bling” features the sale, raffle and auction of gently and never used handbags, jewelry and accessories, with some items to be sold for between $5 and $50. It will be held July 19, 5:30-7:30 pm at American Legion at 200 Columbia Turnpike (Rt 20), East Greenbush. There will be delicious appetizers, psychic readings, chair massages, music and a cash bar.

To make donations, contact Pitcher at tpitcher@stpaulscenter.com or (518) 434-2910. Tickets are $10 prior to the event and may be purchased at www.stpaulscenter.com. Tickets at the door are $15.

Proceeds will support the emergency shelter at St. Paul’s Center. A shelter for homeless mothers and their children, St. Paul’s Center strives to intervene, educate, and empower families so that they will not become homeless again.
