A member of FuzeHub’s Board of Directors, Santokh S. Badesha, is more than a prolific inventor. The Xerox Fellow and manager of open innovation at Xerox Corporation is a leader who knows how to get the most out of a team. Since joining the business process and document technology company in 1980, Badesha has been issued over 200 patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Today, he has over 55 other patent applications in different stages of review. Badesha’s individual contributions are extraordinary, yet he’s also a team-builder with important advice for New York State manufacturers. More

When FuzeHub was first introduced to Etsy in the spring of 2014, I was excited about the possibility of connecting New York’s small manufacturers with a vast, untapped market of Makers in need of manufacturing services. FuzeHub, New York’s new B2B platform and one of ten NIST-selected B2B platforms, connects New York State manufacturers to the Manufacturing Extension Partnership services and other resources to support business growth in New York State. Alfred State Breaks Ground for Advanced Manufacturing Center

Shovels hitting the dirt during a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday afternoon on the Alfred State College Applied Technology Campus meant the start of additional educational experiences to come for students who are interested in pursuing degrees in manufacturing. College representatives, local government officials, state dignitary representatives and construction crew leaders broke ground to mark the spot for the college’s 16,500-square-foot Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing Center.  More

 

 

New Product, New Engineers

Hudson Valley Technology Development Center (HVTDC) 

 

EAW Electronic Systems, Inc., a Poughkeepsie design engineering and contract manufacturer for electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, is on the verge of introducing an innovative building automation system. The new technology, called an EMC 20/20, is used to control a building’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, and will support industry standard communication. More

 

 

Winning Big with Manufacturing Incentives in Schenectady

Automated Dynamics plans to increase its winnings in the manufacturing marketplace. To make room for the Mohawk Harbor casino project, the Schenectady manufacturer will move to a bigger and brand-new building in nearby Niskayuna. Construction on the 30,000 sq. ft. facility will start the summer, and add yet another tenant to the Niskayuna Commerce Park, which has 100 shovel-ready acres for tech firms. More
