April 7, 2016Fair Highlights Umbrella of Colonie and Tips from Area Experts on Home Repairs
Umbrella of Colonie will once again host the Home Maintenance Fair to provide information to seniors who are looking to remain independent and in their own homes longer. This fair is also intended to highlight the benefits of being a member of Umbrella of Colonie.
Umbrella connects senior homeowners to a wide variety of services such as discounted home and personal care, free banking services, lawn care, cleaning, shopping and more, allowing members to continue to live safely and independently in their own homes. It also gives a sense of security for members who may not otherwise have another person to help them if anything should happen or if they need repairs or maintenance for their home. There will be a number of door prizes at the event, including a one year Umbrella of Colonie membership!
At the event will be exhibitors such as Sherwin Williams, Interim HealthCare, M&T Helping Hands, Home Connection Companions, Choice Connections, Crisafulli Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Habitat Re-Store, Organized Senior Moves, and many more to teach seniors tips and tricks to maintain their home. Also as a presenting sponsor and exhibitor will be CAP COM Federal Credit Union.
Colonie Senior Service Centers is an independent, community based non-profit serving the largest population of seniors in the Capital District.
