Capital District YMCA Raises $1.64 Million – A New Record For Their Annual Campaign

The Capital District YMCA is pleased to announce that they’ve raised a new record amount for their Annual Campaign, with a total of $1.64 million in donations.
“I’m keenly aware that it takes a dedicated team of caring individuals to successfully raise $1.64 million, and I’m sincerely grateful to the hundreds of passionate volunteers from across our association who’ve helped us achieve this goal,” noted Capital District YMCA President and CEO David Brown.

“What makes our volunteers so important is that they understand that the need for our help continues to grow each year. These funds help us fulfill our mission by helping thousands of children to grow in our childcare programs, and hundreds of adults to successfully battle chronic health issues, and thousands of families to build stronger family bonds through their interactions with the Y in every community where we serve,” noted David Brown.

“I’m so proud of the work of our employees and volunteers in reaching this momentous goal. We’re committed to raising even more funds in the coming year, knowing that there are thousands of families and children depending on the Y, and more seeking our help each day. We know that our community partners recognize the profound impact our organization has on the regional economy and the social fabric of our communities through our childcare, educational development and scholarship programs. We look forward to their continued support.” noted Chief Strategy Officer for the Capital District YMCA, Susan Fogarty.

The Capital District YMCA is one of the 35 largest associations of YMCAs in the country and one of the largest membership-based community service organizations in the capital region. For more information about the Capital District YMCA, visit www.CDYMCA.org, or call 518.869.3500.
