24th Annual Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner to Take Place at Glen Sanders Mansion

The Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner is one of the Capital Region’s most popular and premier dining experiences.  It begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a fabulous six-course dinner, with each course prepared by one of the area’s top chefs and paired with a premium New York State wine.  The event sells out every year with nearly 400 guests and raises thousands of dollars to support the Food Bank. This year, the event will take place on September 27 at the Glen Sanders Mansion.

Funds raised through the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner help the Food Bank feed thousands of hungry people in our community.  In 2017, the Food Bank provided 38 million pounds of food, enough for 32 million meals, to 1,000 food pantries, soup kitchens, and other charitable agencies feeding hungry people throughout northeastern New York. Because the need is so great and the costs to acquire millions of pounds of donated food are increasing, the money raised through the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner is more important than ever. The Food Bank’s work would not be possible without the generous support it receives through events like the Dinner.

The Food Bank is looking for individuals to join their committee to help coordinate the Chefs & Vintners’ Harvest Dinner. The committee will meet five or six times with the first meeting scheduled for April 26.  All meetings begin at 8 AM, last an hour or less, and are held at the Regional Food Bank, 965 Albany-Shaker Rd., Latham.
