USS SLATER will be open to the public for guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day this Columbus Day Weekend, including Monday, October 12.
There’s no better way to celebrate Columbus’ voyage to the Americas than to visit an historic ship.
Typically, USS SLATER is closed on Monday and Tuesday for continuing restoration, but exceptions are made for significant holidays. We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to visit the only Destroyer Escort afloat in America and a National Historic Landmark.
USS SLATER will remain open through November 29 this year. Regular public hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ship will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
The ship is located on the Hudson River in Downtown Albany at the intersection of Broadway and Quay Street. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children.
