Theatre Institute at Sage Presents Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

The Theatre Institute at Sage continues its 2017-2018 season with A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens’ timeless tale of hope, peace, and love. Adapted for the stage by David Bunce, and directed by David Baecker with a cast of twenty students and children.

If anyone hates Christmas and all it has to offer, it is that old miser Ebenezer Scrooge. But one frigid Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future and discovers the beauty of the season.

Artist-in-Residence David Bunce was recently honored by having his play, Red Maple, included in Capital Repertory Theatre’s NEXT ACT! New Play Summit. Dogs of War: Shakespeare’s Soldiers, another new work by Bunce, was produced by TIS in 2012.

After the matinee on December 10, there will be a brief talkback with Melissa Komora, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement at the Sage Colleges. Ms. Komora will be speaking on “Ah ha Moments in Philanthropy” as it refers to the awakening of Ebenezer Scrooge and history of charitable giving.
