Protective Industrial Products Announces New CIO

Bridget Milot, Vice President of Administration and Corporate Counsel for Protective Industrial Products (PIP), is pleased to announce major investments in human capital and infrastructure that will further enhance PIP’s prominence as a technologically sophisticated leader in the safety industry. PIP is furthering its strategy of investing in and utilizing technology to exceed customer and vendor expectations in e-commerce, B2B data interchange and information technology infrastructure.

Mr. Richard Hellar has been appointed Chief Information Officer for Protective Industrial Products and its global subsidiaries. Mr. Hellar has over 20 years of solid experience successfully leading and managing infrastructure, operations and technology strategies of multi-unit global organizations including Proximo Spirits, a subsidiary of Jose Cuervo International as Head of IT, and D&H Distributing, headquartered in Pennsylvania, as Chief Information Officer. Richard’s progressive experience with e-business (B2B, B2C and customer portals), e-commerce, applications, and strategic optimization of business processes will fortify the Company’s plans to lead the safety industry. Ms. Milot explains, “The primary focus will be on our customers with the goal of aligning our IT team with theirs in order to improve electronic data interchange, mass data information transfers and technology alignment. The ultimate goal – less processing time – more customer-facing time and an enhanced customer experience.”

Joining Mr. Hellar at PIP are four new, highly skilled individuals with collective expertise in EDI, ERP, Web and Cybersecurity. On August 15th, Mrs. Nadine Quaglietta joins PIP as its ERP Manager. Mrs. Quaglietta is an experienced IT Manager and Systems Administrator with over twelve years managing Epicor ERP software for the distribution and retail industries.

Mrs. Quaglietta will oversee the newly formed position of EDI Coordinator which has been filled by Mr. Scott Weinbloom. Mr. Weinbloom has a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity and over a decade of experience supporting electronic data interchange in a B2B environment and supporting thousands of users on applications, software and e-business platforms.

Ms. Sandra Hancock, who holds a degree in Computer Science and has a deep skillset providing technical support for B2B data transmissions and customer electronic interface, comes to the PIP IT team with experience from CommerceHub and other technology service companies. Ms. Hancock will provide a direct liaison to the PIP Inside Sales Department and the technical teams.

Meghan Seely, a customer relationship management software (CRM) specialist, joins the PIP IT group with the explicit focus of supporting the technical requests of customers and sales personnel while utilizing newly acquired software to eliminate the manual processing of customer orders.

The new IT talent further enhances and complements the current Business Intelligence and IT team, including Karina
Kaspariiants, George Weatherwax and Nancy Musariri and expands PIP’s capabilities to exploit the potential of
newly acquired software and applications to enhance the customer’s overall experience with PIP.
