Lucky Strike Social: A Game-Changer For Albany Dining And Entertainment

Lucky Strike Entertainment will debut its latest business concept, Lucky Strike Social, at Crossgates Mall in Albany the weekend of Friday, June 10. Lucky Strike Social brings together exceptional chef-driven food, state-of-the-art electronic gaming, craft beverages, the original Lucky Strike lanes, an ‘old school’ rec room and an epic live performance club in one fully immersive venue. With a sophisticated backdrop to unfettered fun, Lucky Strike Social is a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience and a new destination for Capital Region residents.

BOWLING
Lucky Strike (LS) has been universally recognized as the leading brand in the boutique-bowling category. Lucky Strike was born with DNA from The Big Lebowski, having been launched in 2003 by Steven and Gillian Foster with the original décor and lanes from Hollywood Star Lanes that served as the Coen Brother’s original movie set. Lucky Strike has been featured on Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, HBO’s Entourage and Newsroom, Undercover Boss, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Stephen Colbert, The Voice and countless other media platforms. Lucky Strike has hosted a full spectrum of celebrities and thousands of corporate and private events, and has contributed to hundreds of charities.

ACES
Located at the center of the bowling lanes at Lucky Strike Social in Crossgates is a 3,000-square-foot platform that offers ‘old school’ rec room games such as ping-pong and shuffleboard. On select nights, this platform area will morph into a stage featuring local bands and DJs.

FOR THE LOVE OF GAMES
Gaming is truly the heart of Lucky Strike Social, which offers more than 100 games, ranging from boardwalk classics to super deluxe attractions and customized games.

In addition to the high tech games, Lucky Strike Social will offer a card swipe system to track your winnings. Gamers can exit and reenter at any time, eliminating the need to cash out or take home tokens or tickets. “Pay Off,” the venue’s 400-square-foot retail store, will offer more than 250 prizes.

JUPITER HALL
A 900-person-capacity club and function room will feature live touring acts and club dance nights with bottle service. Weekly “Soundcheck Live” events have been modeled after the iconic Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood, which has featured artists such as Gene Simmons, Johnny Depp, Dave Grohl, Gilby Clarke (Guns & Roses), Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Robbie Krieger (The Doors), and many other significant touring musicians. When not in use as a live performance or dance venue, Jupiter Hall will be available for private parties and events.

PARTY ON
In addition to the club and function room, private parties can be hosted in any of the private rooms, bowling and gaming areas, appropriately accommodating all event hosts and their guests. Aged wood paneling and vintage industrial chandeliers lend an antique glow to the venue. Fully-stocked portable bars and custom party packaging guarantee a unique experience unavailable anywhere else.

WINNING PROVISIONS AND LIBATIONS
Celebrity chef Rodelio Aglibot joined Lucky Strike as its culinary head, or “Food Dude,” in March 2015 and has since developed unique concepts and menus. His creations for Lucky Strike Social elevates pub fare into modern handcrafted food.

Both reserved and walk-in seating are available in the gastro pub, known as “Community,” and offers a full dining menu that includes items such as bacon wrapped shrimp, brick oven margherita pizza, capellini Pomodoro, steak frites and marinated rotisserie pork chop. At the front of the venue is “TBD,” which offers a casual menu of delicious tacos, burgers and dogs and features a 45-foot bar with over 100 varieties of canned beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

Guests can view games or curated art pieces on a monster 250-square-foot HD video wall. A 32-foot industrial-style bar is located conveniently near the lanes and games, offering a wide selection of craft brews on tap, handcrafted classic cocktails and a formidable menu of irresistible small plates.
