The Chamber helped celebrate a new restaurant at 135 Broadway in Schenectady last week. Hot Spot Jamaican-American Cuisine offers delicious dining and take-out. It has been recognized for its outstanding food, excellent service and friendly staff. The restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high-quality fresh ingredients. Owner Vincent Douglas is a graduate of Schenectady County Community College. All the recipes are created by Vincent, and he is proud to offer the most authentic Jamaican cuisine in the area. His new location in Downtown Schenectady is a result of numerous requests by patrons at is other locations in Albany and Troy. Vincent is on track to open five more restaurants in the next five years.
