December 3, 2015ESYO Musicians to Perform at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Colonie Center
Musicians from various ensembles of the Empire State Youth Orchestras will perform in the Barnes & Noble store at Colonie Center Mall during the day, Saturday, December 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is ESYO’s 10th year of bringing live music to the store during the holiday season. Shoppers will be entertained with a variety of music from traditional carols and songs of the season to selections from classical pieces and jazz and popular tunes. Sales at the store that day that are identified as supporting the musicians will generate a donation from Barnes & Noble to ESYO for its music education and performance program. Donations from organizations and individuals help ESYO maintain a “below-cost” tuition rate and robust scholarship program – both necessary to keep ESYO accessible to as many young musicians as possible. Shoppers who cannot get to the Colonie Center Barnes & Noble can shop at any Barnes & Noble on December 12 and support ESYO by providing code 11721750 at the checkout or by shopping on line and using the code from December 12 – 17.
