The new DoubleTree by Hilton in Schenectady officially opened this week with a ribbon cutting hosted by executives from Schahet Hotels, the owners of the new DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Hotels, employees, local officials, Capital Region Chamber Ambassadors and family and friends.
Located at 100 Nott Terrace in downtown Schenectady, the new hotel features an elegant ambiance inspired from classic design elements including warm wood tones, clean lines and a neutral color palette accented with pops of navy and plum. The hotel has 120 brand new guest rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the public areas and guest rooms, a 24-hour business center, 24-hour fitness center and a heated indoor pool. In addition to the iconic warm chocolate chip cookie welcome, guests will enjoy other DoubleTree by Hilton brand amenities including an assortment of gourmet in-room tea and coffee choices from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, the refreshing London-based Aroma Actives natural skin and body care line, and an industry-recognized service culture built around the idea of CARE, which stands for Create a Rewarding Experience for guests, team members and the community.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Schenectady offers dining at its signature restaurant, Sammy’s Burgers and Bistro which is open for breakfast and dinner. Sammy’s Burgers and Bistro features an array of unique dishes such as Sammy’s Special Gourmet Grass Fed burgers, topped with American Cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, pickles and bistro sauce, as well as other gourmet bistro entrees. The new hotel also features 3,700 square feet of flexible meeting space, which can accommodate up to 330 people.
