Community Resource Federal Credit Union Joins Forces with Interfaith Partner for the Homeless Summer Youth Program to Sponsor T-Shirts in the Park

Each week during the summer, Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) offers recreational activities, crafts, education field trips and healthy lunches to the unsupervised and hungry children of the Arbor Hill and Sheridan Hollow neighborhoods. The 11 week Summer Youth program serves over 1700 lunches and offers activities to more than 900 children each year.

Each summer employees from Community Resource Federal Credit Union gather at an inner city park with a supply of shirts, fabric markers and paints for underprivileged children to decorate their own t-shirts. This year’s “T-Shirts in the Park” event will be held on Wednesday, August 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sheridan Hollow, the park off of Sheridan Ave. just past Dove Street by the new Habitat for Humanity houses in Albany.
