Canvas Corks and Forks Opens Second Location in Troy

Thomaura O’Sullivan opened a second location for her paint and sip business in Troy, a little more than a year after debuting Canvas, Corks and Forks in Schenectady.

Classes began this week at the Canvas, Corks and Forks location in Troy at 274 River St. The concept is similar to the national paint and sip companies across the nation, where customers are guided through a painting class with a glass of wine on hand.

O’Sullivan, who ran a mac and cheese food truck in Florida for several years with her husband, added a mac and cheese bar to her business. Canvas, Corks and Forks also offers a selection of craft beer and other drinks.

“Every time I would go and do and the paint and sip, I loved it and thought, it would be better if there was food there,” O’Sullivan, 38, said. She grew up in the Schenectady area.

Classes cost $38. O’Sullivan has about four classes a week at the Schenectady location on Union Street, in addition to private events.
