BSNB Recognizes Employees for Volunteer Efforts and Donates $5,000

Ballston Spa National Bank recently recognized 9 employees with Community Support Awards and is donating $5,000 to local charitable organizations in appreciation of their volunteer efforts. The honorees are part of BSNB’s Volunteers in Action program and were chosen for their considerable contributions to the community. The award recipients are: Kathy Fialkowski, Brittany March, Nancy Koval, Brenda Reilly, Barbara Creeden, Beth Chase, Kirstie Metzler, James Ireland, and Jill Robbins.

“These honorees have gone above and beyond to contribute to the strength and vitality of our communities,” said BSNB President and CEO Chris Dowd. “We are proud to celebrate their achievements and pleased to provide additional support to five organizations recommended by these exemplary employees.”

In appreciation of employee volunteer efforts, BSNB is awarding $1,000 to each of the following organizations:

  • Living Hope Christian Church backpack program – Provides for the weekend nutrition needs of children who normally receive free or reduced-cost meals through school programs.
  • The Prevention Council of Saratoga County – Provides education and community action to reduce the harm of addiction in our communities.
  • Northeast Kidney Foundations – Improves the quality of life of those affected by kidney disease through intervention, prevention, support services, and promoting organ donations.
  • Code Blue Saratoga – Provides an emergency homeless shelter that offers hot meals and a safe warm place to spend the night during harsh weather.
  • Taylor’s Heroes – Provides fitness and nutrition programs to children who want to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle.
