The Bonadio Group Promotes Kevin Testo to Partner

Local CPA firm increases senior leadership in Albany

The Bonadio Group, upstate New York’s largest independent provider of accounting, consulting and financial services, has promoted Kevin Testo, CPA, to partner. The promotion took effect on January 1.

After six years of audit experience with a national Big 4 firm, Kevin joined The Bonadio Group in 2009. Kevin primarily focuses his time on healthcare and non-profit clients.

With over fifteen years of experience in public accounting, he is well versed in the unique requirements and reporting matters affecting a wide variety of tax exempt organizations. In addition, Kevin has become a leader in The Bonadio Group’s employee benefit plan audit team.  He is designated as one of the firm’s employee benefit plan specialists, where he assists clients and conducts educational seminars in the employee benefits area.  In his role as a partner, he will work with an immediate staff of twenty people and oversee multiple audit engagements throughout the year.

Kevin graduated cum laude from Siena College in 2003 with a B.A. in Accounting. He has professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Kevin is also a graduate of both the Capital Chamber’s Leadership Program and Batiste Leadership Development Program. Kevin volunteers on the Finance Committee of Albany’s Homeless and Travelers Aide Society (HATAS), as well as the Board of Directors of Proctors Theatre, in which he now serves as Board Treasurer.

Kevin currently resides in Malta, New York with his wife and two daughters (ages 5 and 6 months).

“As a new partner, I’m looking forward to growing the firm’s tax exempt practice in the Capital District. “The Bonadio Group has allowed me significant opportunity for growth in the public accounting profession and to further develop the skill set necessary to provide and meet the strict compliance and reporting requirements for these organizations.”
