Best Fitness Hosts Yogathon Prep Class and Raises Money to Support Healthy Living

Best Fitness is offering a donation yoga class to anyone in the Capital Region who is interested in supporting “Yoga Reaches Out”, an organization that focuses on raising funds for organizations that impact the health, education and well-being of children. Locally, the organization that will benefit from the funds raised is Ronald McDonald House Charities. Donation suggests are $10 for non-members of Best Fitness and $5 for members.

The class is in preparation for the main “Yoga Reaches Out” event in our area which is the Albany Yogathon 2015 on Saturday November 14 at the Siena College MAC from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Yoga guru and the founder of Baptiste Yoga, Baron Baptiste will be at the main event. This is the first time a yogathon of this size has been planned in our region. They hope to raise thousands of dollars. In addition to Ronald McDonald House Charities the funds raised will benefit the Baptiste Foundation and the Africa Yoga Project.

Best Fitness wanted to create an event to help people get ready for the yogathon and to begin raising money for this important cause. Albany Operations Manager Scott McGregor said, “This is an excellent opportunity for anyone in the region to try yoga and raise money for organizations dedicated to children. We encourage anyone to take the class and enjoy all it provides.” Everyone is invited. Those attending do not need to be members of the gym or join. Yoga classes are currently being offered at Best Fitness facilities.
