Berkshire Bank Named Finalist for Prestigious Halo Award

Award Recognizes Top Corporate Social Responsibility Efforts in North America

Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank has been named a finalist for the 2018 Halo Award. Presented annually at the Engage for Good Conference in Chicago, the Halo Awards are one of North America’s highest honors for corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These prestigious awards look at philanthropic campaigns targeted at consumers and employees that take innovative and impactful approaches to supporting causes. Past recipients of the awards include many of the most globally recognized brands.

Berkshire was named a finalist in the Employee Engagement Group Volunteering category which recognizes initiatives that meaningfully and measurably engage a company’s employees in a cause-focused initiative to achieve both a social and a business impact. Berkshire’s work on their Xtraordinary Day of Service in June 2017 in which it mobilized 92% of their workforce across the country to directly impact more than 400,000 individuals coupled with their broader XTEAM® corporate employee volunteer program which boasts a 100% employee participation rate earned them the selection. Berkshire provides its employees with paid time off to volunteer during regular business hours at a series of company-supported service projects through the program. The other finalists for the award include FedEx, WestJet and Habitat for Humanity International. The winner will be announced in Chicago on May 24.
