Annual March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction Set for October 24, 2017

One of the area’s most popular charity food events, the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction, will return for its year on October 24th, 2017. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. at Hilton Garden Inn in Troy.

Prominent area chefs will prepare their signature dishes created exclusively for the evening and paired with fine wines and spirits provided by Mionetto, Heaven Hill Distilleries, Brown’s Brewing Company, Soilair, Constellation Liquors, and Saratoga Courage. Chef chair Geriann Mastromarino of Hilton Garden Inn will be joined by a stellar lineup of chefs from more than ten of the area’s most prominent restaurants, including Tala American Bistro, Reel Seafood, Swifty’s Pub, DeFazio’s Pizzeria, Brown’s Brewing, Tara Kitchen, Schenectady County Community College’s Casola Dining Room, Rocco’s, the Inn at Erlowest, and Dinosaur BBQ.

Following the tasting, there will be a seated dessert provided by Cake Street Bakery and a chocolate fondue fountain provided by We Do Fondue, and a spirited live auction featuring many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and our very special Fund the Mission.

Funds raised by Signature Chefs Auction help support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, newborn intensive care unit (NICU) family support programs and advocacy efforts for moms and babies.

Today, one in 10 babies in the United States is born premature, including 20,567 in New York State. The March of Dimes is committed to funding research to find the answers to problems that continue to threaten the lives and the health of babies.

In addition to sponsors of note include Blue Shield of Northeastern NY, Capital Imaging, Tri-City Rentals, the Warehouse at Huck Finn, and Taste NY.
