Aleda or the Flight of the Suff Birdwomen, an Opera about Women’s Suffrage

To help celebrate the opening night of Aleda or the Flight of the Suff Birdwomen and its connection with aviation and the intrepid female pilots of the suffrage movement, Musicians of Ma’alwyck announces a very special flyover by Faith Gay. Ms. Gay is one of the nation’s leading trial, appellate and white-collar lawyers; she is also an avid pilot. Beginning at 6:30 on opening night June 8th, Ms. Gay will fly over the performance site (CLYNK) in a vintage aircraft, a nod to the stunt attempted by the Suff Birds one hundred years ago, and an affirmation of their unwavering commitment to the suffrage cause.

Join us as we highlight this wonderful story through opera, drama and a wonderful flyover.
