Benefits of the Internship Program

  • Ease of access
As with all Chamber services and benefits, we strive to provide our members with easy access to our services and benefits in a supportive manner. Our Director of Education Initiatives is your direct resource for the internship partnership and is available to discuss the internship program, assist in identifying internship opportunities and work with you to identify a qualified intern for your opportunity.
  • Structured Program
The internship program is a formal supervised learning experience with specific goals. Once you select an intern, you will meet with your intern to establish objectives and define goals for the internship. By establishing objectives and goals you and your intern will have clear expectations for the internship and will be able to measure progress to these goals. Our Director of Education Initiatives can assist you with defining the objectives and internship goals to ensure a successful internship. During the internship, the Director of Education Initiatives will check in with you and the intern to make sure the internship is a success for both parties.
  • Prepared Candidates
Students at the Huether School of Business are required to complete a 3-credit internship course in order to graduate. The students understand the value of the internship program and are committed to a successful experience. Prior to taking the internship course the students complete a pre-internship class that prepares them for the job market and a successful internship. These students are serious! They want an internship that is a resume building experience.
  • HIRE AN INTERN
Through the partnership, you can post your internship opportunities directly from this page or any place you see HIRE AN INTERN. Once you click HIRE AN INTERN you will be linked to The College of Saint Rose’s job posting portal called HireStRose. Registration for the job posting portal is easy and does not take much time. Once registered you can create the job posting for the internship opportunity. When you are creating a job posting you will see a section (bottom right on the job posting page) labeled WHO CAN VIEW AND APPLY. Please check the box labeled Huether Internship Program.
