Turning Risk into Reward: Four Entrepreneurs Share their Journeys to the TopApril 3, 2018
5:30pm - 7:30pm
Presented by the Tech Valley Young Professionals Network
Join us for YPN’s next entrepreneurial showcase, featuring four local business owners whose roadmaps to success were anything but ordinary.
You’ll hear from our host, Tom Owens of Great Flats Brewing, a local beer brewer committed to using wind-power and locally sourced ingredients, Jeff Buell of Sequence Development, or maybe you know him better as the guy on the streets of Schenectady handing out $100 bills; Erica Welsh of and Riverside Maple, a family-owned maple farm born from a shared family passion; and Jenn Dugan of The Makeup Curio, a retail and service business that blends the beautiful and the unusual.
Together, these entrepreneurs will be answering the questions we’ve all asked ourselves a time or two:
- How do you overcome the obstacles that stand in the path to success?
- We know the benefits of being an entrepreneur, but is the risk worth it?
- How do you build a business that’s about more than making money – while still making money?
The event includes light refreshments and a cash bar. For those who are celebrating Passover, please know there will be options available for you!
